Well the summer is coming to a close and we’re gearing up for a strong finish to our calendar year here at the Rocky Mountain Chapter. Be sure to keep an eye out for program notices for our upcoming events in September, October and November.
Scott Hasson, with Scott Hasson Photography, will be our presenter at the Roth Concept Center on September 24th for a program entitled “Photographing Your Work.” The program will address all of the do’s and don’ts you would need to know about selecting and working with a photographer for job site photography related to staging, lighting, costs, film vs. digital options and more. It promises to be a great event so mark your calendars now.
In October, John Brush, CKD, CBD, with Pacific Crest Industries in Washington will be out guest speaker for the Environmental Stewardship Program offered through the KCMA (Kitchen Cabinetry Manufacturers Association). This program will take place at Abacus Cabinetry in Littleton on October, 22nd, and with so much focus on “green” and sustainable design options these days we look forward to learning more about this important certification process.
And finally our Year End Gala will be held at the Magnolia Hotel in Denver on Saturday, November 14th and we look forward to wrapping up the year in high style. This year we will be back in the main hotel where they have recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation and the place looks great! If you have attended our galas at the Magnolia in the past, then you already know what a wonderful job they do for us and this year will be better than ever.
On behalf of all of the Board of Directors here at the Rocky Mountain Chapter I would like to wish you all the best as you wrap up 2009 and look forward to 2010.
Sincerely, Troy Williams, AKBD President/VP of Programs
